DESCRIPCIÓN:

Original poster. Created by Picasso, no “Avant la Lettre” works made.
The original poster was reproduced as the motif of the 750 posters printed by Arnéra for the same exhibition in the Galerie Madoura in 1961.
This poster was designed with a linocut that Picasso made for his friends Suzanne and Georges Ramié of Vallauris, in connection with the exhibition of ceramics that they were going to hold at the Madoura Gallery they owned in Cannes.
The composition of the poster is a play of simple lines, subtly improvised, with short, fine lines for the drawing of the face, long, deep lines for the construction surrounding the pottery piece, and thick lines for the calligraphy used in the written text. The central drawing is a sketch of a ceramic with the face of a satyr, which Picasso has humorously endowed with an ironic expression.
