This work called “New York Says It” is considered an analysis
of the level of fame and iconography attached to American
politicians. Employing vivid colours and an uncanny
combination of juxtaposed images, Rosenquist’s work has
also been associated with the Surrealist movement and
many critics have pointed to him as one of the Pop artists
who managed to evolve with his style and continue to
create relevant work.
