This work is a Talking Heads album called Speaking in Tongues,
the cover of which was designed by Robert Rauschenberg.
Rauschenberg readily agreed to take over the design of the band’s
fifth studio album, Speaking in Tongues. For Speaking in Tongues,
Rauschenberg referenced the three-colour printing process by
creating separate layers of cyan, magenta and yellow. Each album
featured a collage of images, including a wrecked car, a roadside
billboard and a suburban bedroom, which could be rotated to
produce different effects.
