Designed for a theater play produced by three brothers, Frank, Mark, and Chris
Gero (born Gerolmo), Some Men Need Help (1982) is the only known poster Warhol created to
promote a play.
According to Gero, the poster image was traced from an original photograph taken at the Fac-
tory, where Warhol and his assistant photographed the two actors on September 24, 1982.
The costume Bosco wears was described by Rich in the Times as “an amateur baseball uniform
modeled after the Italian flag”; the critic also noted that Bosco “looks quite mad in head-to-toe
red-white-and-green.” on the streets of New York, or anywhere else, to promote the production.
