This poster is a work by Larry Rivers for the exhibition at the
Museum of the City of New York. Rivers’ style strikes a balance
between abstract expressionism and realistic depictions, his
free-painting style brushwork and tightly drawn images float
ambiguously in space with blurs and smudges. These blurred
and blurred images were not accidental, but part of a deliberate
process.
