In 1985, the Swedish vodka distillery
Absolut had Warhol design a poster for them.
He then recommended Keith Haring as the
artist for the following year. Haring executed
his design in acrylic on canvas.
The four print colors were phototechnically
separated for the silkscreen print. The prints
were published in limited editions, some of
them were hand-signed. The advertising
poster was printed in the city light poster
format (175 x 117 cm) with the title “Absolut
Haring” below the image.
