Interpretative rendering of a lithograph executed by Charles Sorlier from the left section of an original lithograph excerpted from “Daphnis and Chloe,” that masterpiece of lithography in color which Chagall created as a favor to his editor and friend, Tériade (1958-1961).
This poster was printed for an exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris which displayed the publications and works of the artists who were associated with Tériade and the magazine Verve.
