Interpretative rendering of a lithograph by Charles Sorlier from the right-hand section of one of the preliminary dummies for the large picture, “Jacob’s Dream”.
This poster was printed for the opening of the National Marc Chagall Biblical Message Museum in Nice on July 7, 1973, the date of the Master’s birthday. Thanks to the initiative taken by Mr. André Malraux and the support given him by General de Gaulle, this marked the first time that a National Museum of France had ever been devoted to the works of a living artist.
