Original lithograph. On the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the birth of Maïakovsky, who died in 1930, and who was one of his friends, Chagall created this poster for an evening of poetry dedicated to the writer.
Faithful to his habits, Chagall, always concerned with perfection, made three lithographs in order to choose the one best suited for a poster.
