This print comes from the book “Daphne and Chloe”. This book is one of the most important graphic works that Marc Chagall has created. Because of the quality, format and number of lithographs it contains the book constitutes a work of notable importance, which, unquestionably, can be placed at the top of the list of illustrated books of our time. Three years labor on the part of both the artist and the printer were devoted to it.
